Camidoc or Dr Matthewman may advise you to attend one of these centres – you cannot just turn up unexpected there.

Dr Matthewman is often available himself to give advice out of hours, and sometimes to visit, if appropriate.

You may also take advice from any Casualty Department (see list) without prior arrangement if it is a serious emergency.

The Royal Free Hospital is the nearest, and is on the Number 24 bus route going north, up the hill, from Malden Road near the Surgery.

Many problems can be dealt with at the Surgery, but if a visit to Casualty is needed, a referral there from your doctor can result in less of a wait. During Surgery hours therefore, it is best to check with your doctor first.

WALK-IN SURGERY is Monday to Friday - 9.30 a.m - 11.30 a.m and subject to availability of doctor. Emergencies may take priority over other patients, and emergency visits can take priority over walk-in patients. Waiting times will vary with demand.
SAME DAY FAXED REFERRALS Faxed referrals depend on good functioning equipment both ends, including availability of correct fax number of recipient. Faxed referrals also depend on the typing and technical skills of the duty doctor, which can vary. You can if you wish, take the referral personally to your chosen hospital.
PRESCRIPTIONS Speed of turn-around depends on the availability of the doctor on the premises, on functioning computer and printing equipment, the clarity of the request and hospital instructions. It also requires the request to be made within working hours.
OPEN LIST AND SAME DAY REGISTRATION The list has never closed to new registrations, and new patients are taken on regardless of race, colour or creed. Where demand exceeds safe practice, we reserve the right to close the list or to declare it full. Where registration is refused, we almost always give a reason, though there is no obligation to do so.
